My daughter, a buddy and I just got back from an amazing event: Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball game against Orange County First Responders/Veterans. SAPD officers spearheaded a drive to help those on Medical Hold at (former) Balboa Hospital at Christmas. There they are learning to live with prosthetics and their new life. This group demonstrates not just living with something new, but THRIVING!
