The purpose of BERT International, Inc. (Business Emergency Response Team) is to provide business managers with the necessary knowledge, expertise and tools to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency incidents. Whether a localized power outage or wildfire in the hills around us either of which snarls traffic for multiple hours, or a systemic catastrophe which forces families and employees to shelter in place for multiple days, the planning is largely the same.
BERT operates with a three-phase program which provides 35 hours of basic academy training, on-going monthly business support and a fully operational private radio system linking other area BERT members together.
